Fluorescent starters assist in the start up of the fluorescent tube where the ballast is not a electronic design. It is advised that you should change the starter when changing the tube. Starters are available in a standard range but where a quicker smoother start similar to an electronic start is reqiured, there is a range of suitable fluorescent starters.
