Fluorescent tubes are typically designed to produce maximum light output at temperatures between 25°C and 35°C. High and low temperatures reduce the light output. These Cold Resistant Thermo or Igloo tubes have been fitted with an additional glass protective tube whiche enables them to achieve maximum light output at ambient temperatures of approximately 5°C for cold environments.
