LED Dim To Warm are a range of lamps that smoothly change to warmer colour as they dim down from 2800K to 1800K. This simulates the characteristics of halogen and incandescent Filament Lamps. LED lamps offer potential savings in energy due to the small amount of power they use often as low as 1 or 2 watts however their light output is low compared to the lamps they replace so are generally used more for effect than general lighting. The capital outlay is offset by the life of these lamps and many last 20 or 30 times longer than the equivalents they replace.
